We started MAKAI with self tanning. Once we dipped a toe into loungewear and it did well, one comment kept coming up over and over, both then and still now: you guys always have the best stuff on, I wish you made leggings so I could look like Toni. A Day That Proved It Actually Works

We were asked to speak at a college business class at Utah Tech, Toni's alma mater. Before class, we worked out and got some business prep done. Then we spoke to the class, and they loved that we were real instead of the corporate, stuck-up type. We cracked jokes, talked shit, roasted a few people. After class we went to lunch, then drove up to the Salt Lake City area for dinner and to meet Toni's family.

What we did not realize until we were lying down to go to bed was that every single outfit Toni had worn that day was our activewear.
