Cotton delivers the familiar softness people love, while polyester helps maintain shape, reduces shrinkage, and improves long-term durability.

We didn't create matching sets because they were trendy. The idea actually came during a road trip through Utah. Driving from the hot desert in southern Utah into the cool mountain air farther north, Toni looked down at her hoodie and said she wished she had matching sweatpants so she wouldn't feel like she needed to change clothes.

During production, one of our manufacturers accidentally embroidered "Tomar Lane" across the center of a hoodie—a design that wasn't supposed to make it into production. Instead of scrapping the entire run, we decided to embrace it.

What happened next surprised us. Customers didn't fall in love because of the embroidery—they fell in love with the comfort, quality, and fit. That experience reinforced everything we believed from the beginning: people weren't buying a logo or a name. They were buying how MAKAI made them feel.
